Boston Bruins' Pastrnak and Swayman Shine as Oilers Struggle to Keep Up

First Period

The Bruins set the tone early in the first period with two goals. David Pastrnak, continuing his impressive form from previous games, opened the scoring for Boston. His performance was complemented by Hampus Lindholm's solid defensive play, which helped keep Edmonton's offense at bay. The Oilers managed to score once in this period but struggled to match Boston's intensity.

Second Period

In the second period, Boston extended their lead with another two goals while shutting out Edmonton completely. Jeremy Swayman was instrumental between the pipes for the B’s, making crucial saves that thwarted any comeback attempts by Edmonton. The Oilers' powerplay opportunities were effectively neutralized by Boston's disciplined defense.

Third Period

The final period saw both teams adding one goal each to their tally. However, it was too little too late for Edmonton as they couldn't bridge the gap created earlier in the game. Pastrnak added another goal to his name during this period, further cementing his status as a key player for Boston.

Overall, Jeremy Swayman's goaltending and David Pastrnak's offensive contributions were pivotal in securing this win for Boston. The Bruins' ability to capitalize on even-strength situations proved decisive against an Edmonton team that struggled defensively throughout.
