First Period


The game began with high energy from both sides. The Sabres managed to strike first with a goal from forward Tage Thompson, who capitalized on an assist by Alex Tuch. However, this early lead was short-lived as Nathan MacKinnon of the Avs responded swiftly with an equalizer, showcasing his offensive prowess and setting up what would be a challenging night for Buffalo's defense.


Second Period

Third Period


Entering the final period trailing by two goals, Buffalo sought opportunities to close the gap but faced relentless pressure from Colorado’s defense. Despite solid goaltending efforts from Alex Lyon who made 34 saves throughout the match, including crucial stops during power plays, it wasn't enough as no further scoring occurred for either side.
