First Period


The opening period saw the Calgary Flames take an early lead with two goals. The Sabres struggled to find their rhythm as they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. The Swords managed only 30 shots throughout the game, compared to Calgary's 35.


Second Period


In a display of resilience, Buffalo came alive in the second period with two goals that brought them back into contention. Mattias Samuelsson was instrumental during this stretch, contributing significantly both offensively and defensively for his team. However, despite these efforts and solid goaltending from Colten Ellis who made 29 saves overall, it wasn't enough to hold back Calgary's momentum.

Third Period


The final period saw another surge from Calgary as they netted four more goals to seal their victory over Buffalo. Joel Farabee led this charge for the Flames with an outstanding performance that earned him recognition as one of three stars of the game alongside Rasmus Andersson and Mattias Samuelsson from Buffalo.
