The Calgary Flames showcased resilience and skill throughout the game. They opened strong with two goals in the first period, setting an aggressive pace against the Kraken. The team's shooting percentage was notable at roughly 10 percent as they managed to net two goals from their 21 shots on goal. Their defensive efforts were equally commendable; they blocked a total of 22 shots and recorded 12 hits during play.

Goaltending played a pivotal role in securing this win for the Flames. Their goalie saved an impressive 35 out of 37 shots faced, boasting a save percentage close to 95 percent. Even when playing at even strength, where most of the game unfolded, he maintained composure with a save percentage around 97 percent.

Special teams had varied success throughout this matchup; while neither team scored on their three powerplay opportunities, it was during even-strength play that both teams found their scoring touch – each netting two goals apiece during regulation time.

The shootout proved decisive for Calgary as they capitalized on both attempts while their goaltender continued his stellar performance by stopping all shots faced. This clutch performance under pressure highlighted not only individual skill but also team composure.
