Calgary Flames Set to Ignite the Ice Against Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena

As the Calgary Flames prepare to face off against the Vegas Golden Knights, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying game at T-Mobile Arena. The Flames are coming off a dominant performance, having recently scorched the Arizona Coyotes with a 6-2 victory on January 12th. In that game, CGY showcased their offensive prowess by lighting the lamp six times on just 30 shots, boasting an impressive shooting percentage of 20 percent.

The Flames' strength was evident in their even-strength play where they netted four goals and maintained a faceoff win percentage of 61 percent. Their powerplay contributed one goal from three opportunities, while their penalty kill added another goal to deflate any momentum from the Coyotes. CGY's goaltender was nearly impenetrable, saving all but two of the 34 shots faced for a perfect save percentage.

In contrast, VGK will have to step up their game if they want to contain this fiery Calgary squad. While not as explosive as CGY's recent showing, VGK has been known for their resilience and ability to perform under pressure in front of their home crowd.

CGY's previous encounter with Ottawa Senators on January 10th further solidified their reputation as third-period titans when they erupted for four goals in that final stanza at Scotiabank Saddledome. This comeback spirit is something that VGK must be wary of; no lead is safe when playing against this determined Calgary team.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for CGY; they did suffer a setback against Chicago Blackhawks on January 7th where despite outshooting them by ten shots and winning more faceoffs overall (57 percent), they fell short by one goal in a tightly contested match-up.

The upcoming clash will test both teams' mettle but based on recent performances and statistics; it seems likely that CGY will carry forward its momentum into Las Vegas. With disciplined play and continued efficiency in scoring chances conversion coupled with robust goaltending – fans can expect CGY to bring an intense battle onto VGK’s ice surface.

Mark your calendars for January 13th at 7:00 PM PST when these two teams collide at T-Mobile Arena. Fans can catch all the action live nationally on ESPN+ or locally via SCRIPPS network TV broadcasts – don’t miss what promises to be an unforgettable night of hockey!
