In their last outing against the Los Angeles Kings, despite a 3-5 loss, Calgary managed to net three goals and put up 32 shots. They also capitalized on one of six powerplay opportunities and scored once while shorthanded. However, they'll need to tighten up defensively as they had a minus-17 plus-minus rating and allowed four even-strength goals.

Prior to that game, the Flames secured a convincing win over the Anaheim Ducks with a shutout scoreline of 3-0. Their offensive production was impressive with 44 shots on goal and an effective powerplay unit that generated one goal from seven opportunities. Defensively, they were solid with goaltending saving all 25 shots faced.

Against the Florida Panthers at home in Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary showcased resilience by securing another win with three goals from just 24 shots – an efficient shooting percentage of twelve percent. Their penalty kill was particularly strong as well; scoring two shorthanded goals is no small feat.

The upcoming game promises to be challenging as TD Garden is known for its raucous atmosphere which often fuels the home team's performance. The Flames will need to leverage their improving special teams play and continue finding ways to score efficiently if they hope to extinguish Boston's home advantage.
