Calgary Flames Doused by Seattle Kraken in a 4-2 Showdown at Scotiabank Saddledome

The Flames entered the game with high expectations but found themselves trailing as the Kraken opened the scoring in the first period and maintained their lead throughout. Despite outshooting their opponents with a total of 37 shots on goal compared to the Kraken's 30, Calgary could not capitalize on their chances as effectively.

On even strength both teams scored once each; however, it was Seattle's shorthanded performance that stood out as they netted one goal from just two shots. The Flames' goaltender saved twenty-six shots but allowed four goals past him during playtime which lasted for sixty minutes.


The home team demonstrated resilience by delivering twenty hits equaling that of their opponents and blocking twenty-one attempts from reaching their netminder. In terms of discipline though, Calgary accumulated thirty-two penalty minutes over nine infractions including two major penalties and one misconduct penalty.

As for individual performances from the Flames' roster: players contributed six points combined through two goals and four assists across all periods. They also showcased defensive efforts by taking away possession fourteen times from Seattle players who had six giveaways themselves.
