In an intense matchup at Crypto.com Arena, the Calgary Flames were unable to secure victory against the Los Angeles Kings. Despite their efforts, the Flames could only muster one goal throughout three periods of play. The lone goal came during the third period, which was not enough to overcome the deficit created by the Kings' earlier strikes.

The Calgary team's goaltender faced a total of 29 shots and made an impressive 26 saves. However, this defensive effort fell short as three pucks found their way into their net during regular play and one more during an empty net situation in the final moments of regulation time.

Offensively, Calgary struggled to penetrate through Los Angeles' defense. With only one powerplay opportunity in hand which did not translate into any goals or shots on target despite having a perfect faceoff win percentage during that powerplay chance. Overall shooting accuracy was low for Calgary at just four percent from their total of 23 shots on goal.

On defense and special teams play, they blocked a commendable number of attempts by blocking 14 shots but were outdone by Los Angeles who managed to block one more shot than them. In terms of discipline on ice, it was challenging for Calgary as they incurred five minor penalties totaling twelve penalty minutes compared to just six penalty minutes for three minor penalties by Los Angeles.

The home team capitalized on these opportunities with eight powerplay shots resulting in one goal contributing significantly to their victory margin while maintaining slightly better control over faceoffs with fifty-one percent wins compared to forty-nine percent for Calgary.

Looking ahead after this tough encounter away from home ice advantage for fans looking forward to supporting their team can catch them playing against Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center located in Anaheim California scheduled for April 13th at 7:00 PM Pacific Time broadcasted live on ESPN+ internet network and KCOP-TV channel.
