Calgary Flames' Efforts Fizzle Out Against St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center

Despite their efforts and an even strength goal in the third period, the Flames couldn't overcome the Blues' defense and goaltending.

Flames' Battle on Ice


The Calgary Flames showcased resilience throughout the game, managing to tally up 27 shots on goal but were only able to convert one into a scoring play during even strength play in the third period. The team's powerplay opportunities did not yield results despite two chances to capitalize with an advantage. The Flames also demonstrated physicality with 20 hits and defensive prowess by blocking 13 shots.


Kevin Bahl stood out for his performance by scoring the lone goal for Calgary and maintaining a positive plus-minus rating alongside three hits and one takeaway over more than twenty minutes on ice. Martin Pospisil contributed with an assist while engaging physically in six hits during his time on ice.

Blues Secure Victory


On the opposing side, St. Louis Blues capitalized early with a first-period goal setting the pace for their eventual victory. Their goaltender was pivotal in securing this win by saving 26 out of 27 shots faced throughout all periods including crucial saves during even-strength play where most attempts were made against him.


Colton Parayko from St. Louis was named as one of the stars of the game thanks to his defensive efforts that helped keep Calgary at bay along with Jordan Binnington's exceptional performance between the pipes which proved decisive in maintaining their lead till end.
