Calgary Flames' Efforts Not Enough Against Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center

Game Highlights

His performance was complemented by Joel Hanley and Mikael Backlund who each contributed significantly; Hanley with two assists and Backlund adding a goal and an assist to his season tally.

On defense, Dustin Wolf made an impressive effort between the pipes with 19 saves throughout the night but ultimately recorded an overtime loss credit due to conceding four goals against 23 shots.


Anaheim Ducks' Response


The Ducks managed to rally back from behind, scoring three goals in the third period to push the game into overtime where they clinched victory with an additional goal. Their resilience was epitomized by Cutter Gauthier and Frank Vatrano who were among Anaheim's top performers of the night. Gauthier earned recognition as one of the stars of the game thanks to his decisive plays.

Anaheim capitalized on its fewer shot opportunities efficiently with a shooting percentage significantly higher than Calgary's. Their goaltender played a crucial role in this win by saving 36 out of 39 shots faced over regulation time and overtime combined.
