First Period

The opening period saw both teams aggressively vying for control. The Oilers managed to break through first with Connor Clattenburg scoring, setting an early tone. Despite equal hits from both sides—22 each—the Flaming C struggled to convert their efforts into goals.

Second Period

As the second period unfolded, neither team could find the back of the net. The Flames had opportunities with three powerplays but failed to capitalize on them. Their shooting percentage remained at zero percent despite attempts from players like Matt Coronato and Mikael Backlund.

Third Period

In the final period, Edmonton's offensive prowess shone through once more as they added two more goals to their tally. Noah Philp contributed significantly with his performance being pivotal in maintaining pressure on Calgary's defense. Meanwhile, Devin Cooley stood firm in goal for Calgary but couldn't prevent all shots from slipping past.

Despite a valiant effort by Rasmus Andersson and MacKenzie Weegar on defense—each logging significant time on ice—the Flaming C couldn't overcome Edmonton's momentum or their own offensive drought.
