First Period

The opening period saw a strong start from the Jets, who quickly took control of the game. Neal Pionk led his team with an impressive performance, contributing significantly to their early lead. The Jets managed to score three goals in this period alone, putting immense pressure on Calgary's defense and goaltender Devin Cooley.

Second Period

In contrast to their first-period dominance, both teams struggled offensively during the second period. However, it was Nikita Chibrikov who extended Winnipeg's lead by adding another goal to make it 4-1. Despite efforts from players like Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazem Kadri on power plays, Calgary could not capitalize on opportunities during this segment.
