First Period

The opening period saw both teams testing each other's defenses. The Flames managed to outshoot their opponents with 11 shots on goal but failed to capitalize on their opportunities. The Blackhawks took an early lead with Connor Bedard scoring, setting the tone for what would be a dominant performance from him throughout the game.

Second Period

In the second period, Calgary's defense held firm, preventing any further goals from Chicago despite facing relentless pressure. Dustin Wolf made several crucial saves to keep his team in contention. However, offensively, Calgary struggled to break through Spencer Knight's goaltending prowess as they were unable to convert any of their attempts into goals.

Third Period

As play resumed in the third period, Chicago intensified their offensive efforts and scored three more times. Tyler Bertuzzi and Connor Bedard continued to shine for Chicago with pivotal contributions that extended their lead further. Despite Matt Coronato's best efforts—leading his team with 11 shots—the Flaming C could not find a way past Knight who recorded an impressive shutout.

The game concluded without any points for Calgary despite having more faceoff wins (35) compared to Chicago's (25). Post-game interviews highlighted frustration within the team regarding missed chances and defensive lapses that allowed Chicago multiple scoring opportunities.
