On defense, goaltender Spencer Martin had an outstanding night for Carolina with 24 saves and achieving a save percentage of 100 percent. His performance earned him recognition as one of the game's top stars alongside Shayne Gostisbehere and Jordan Martinook who also made significant contributions; Gostisbehere with his defensive plays and assists and Martinook adding to both score sheet and physical play.


Player Performances


Jordan Martinook stood out not only for scoring one goal but also assisting another, demonstrating his dual threat as both scorer and playmaker. William Carrier's accuracy was unmatched as he netted a goal on his only shot of the game. Sebastian Aho continued to be an offensive force by scoring once off three shots.

Shayne Gostisbehere contributed significantly without finding himself on penalty trouble which has been key for maintaining team momentum during critical phases of play.
