First Period

The opening period set the tone for an intense matchup. Both teams managed to find the back of the net once. The Canes' offensive efforts were highlighted by Jordan Martinook's goal, showcasing his precision and skill on one of his four shots during the game. Meanwhile, Seattle responded with a goal of their own, keeping the score level as they headed into intermission.

Second Period

The second period was marked by defensive resilience from both sides as neither team managed to score. Carolina's defense was particularly effective in this segment, limiting Seattle's opportunities and maintaining pressure through strategic faceoff wins—34 out of 61 overall—demonstrating their dominance in puck control.

Third Period

In an electrifying third period, Carolina surged ahead with two crucial goals that sealed their victory. Jaccob Slavin played a pivotal role by assisting one of these goals and contributing significantly on defense despite being listed as injured earlier in October. His presence on ice was instrumental for Carolina’s success.

Seattle attempted to rally but could only manage one more goal before time ran out. Despite having fewer shots on target compared to Carolina’s 34 attempts against them, they showed determination until the final whistle.
