Chicago Blackhawks Seek Redemption Against Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre

In their last encounter with the Los Angeles Kings on March 16th, CHI was shut out with a disheartening 5-0 loss. Despite putting up 28 shots and winning nearly half of their faceoffs, they couldn't find the back of the net. Their powerplay opportunities were squandered as well – failing to capitalize on any of their four chances.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for CHI. A previous game against Anaheim Ducks on March 13th showcased what this team is capable of when firing on all cylinders. The Blackhawks dominated with a resounding 7-2 victory, where their powerplay unit shone brightly by converting four out of six opportunities into goals – an impressive feat that speaks volumes about their potential when they gain momentum.

The key takeaway from these past games is inconsistency; CHI has demonstrated both ends of performance extremes but needs to find stability in its gameplay. Against OTT, they must leverage every chance and maintain discipline to avoid penalties that could shift game dynamics unfavorably.

OTT isn't without its strengths either; they will undoubtedly look to exploit any weaknesses shown by CHI's recent defensive lapses and goaltending challenges. It will be crucial for CHI's defensemen and goalie to step up and mitigate OTT's offensive threats if they wish to secure a win away from home.

Looking ahead at this matchup scheduled for March 28th at 7:00 PM EDT in Ottawa – it’s clear that Chicago has something to prove not only to their fans but also themselves as contenders in this league. Will we witness a resurgence or another stumble? Only time will tell.

Fans can catch all the action live from Canadian Tire Centre or tune into ESPN+ online or NBCS-CHI on TV for broadcast coverage.
