The Blackhawks opened the scoring in the first period with a single goal but were unable to add to their tally in the second. The third period saw an impressive rally from Chicago as they netted three goals. However, this surge was not enough to secure victory as they failed to score in overtime. The team's statistics reflected an aggressive game with 22 hits and four goals on just 13 shots, translating into an exceptional shooting percentage of 31 percent. They also recorded eight points and four assists throughout the game.

Despite their efforts on offense, faceoffs proved challenging for Chicago; they won only 17 out of 47 attempts resulting in a faceoff win percentage of just 36 percent. On special teams, they capitalized on one powerplay opportunity out of one but struggled during shorthanded situations where they could not convert their single shot into a goal.

Defensively, Chicago blocked seven shots and took away possession ten times from Los Angeles. Their goaltender made an impressive total of 30 saves against five goals allowed over regular time and overtime combined.

On the other side of the ice, Los Angeles demonstrated strong play by winning most faceoffs with a success rate of 64 percent and converting two out of four powerplay opportunities into goals which contributed significantly to their victory. Their offense was more voluminous than that of Chicago's as well; taking a total number shots amounting to nearly triple that taken by Blackhawks (35). Despite this volume though it resulted only in five goals due largely because their shooting percentage stood at just fourteen percent for game overall - lower than what we saw from our visitors today (31%).
