First Period


The opening period saw both teams locked in a defensive battle, with neither side able to find the back of the net. The Hawks managed 9 hits and blocked 14 shots, showcasing their defensive resilience early on.

Third Period


Heading into the third period trailing by one goal, Chicago's determination paid off when they leveled things up through Tyler Bertuzzi's even-strength goal. Despite outshooting Edmonton during this segment (26 shots), they couldn't capitalize further as both defenses tightened up significantly.


Overtime
