First Period

The opening period saw both teams locked in a defensive battle, with neither side able to break through. The Hawks managed 36 shots on goal throughout the game but were unable to capitalize early on. Their defense was equally strong, limiting the Kings to just 27 shots overall.

Second Period

The second period proved pivotal for Chicago as they scored twice, thanks in part to Frank Nazar's impressive performance. Nazar contributed two assists during this crucial phase of play. Third Period

In contrast, it wasn't until the third period that L.A. Kings found their way onto the scoreboard with a single goal during even strength play. Despite their efforts and maintaining possession for significant stretches, they couldn't overcome Spencer Knight's solid goaltending for Chicago who saved an impressive 26 out of 27 shots faced.

Overall, this encounter highlighted key aspects such as faceoff dynamics where L.A.'s higher win percentage (56 percent) contrasted sharply against Chicago’s (44 percent). Yet it was ultimately Chicago’s effective penalty kill and timely offensive bursts that secured them victory.
