The Avalanche have had a mixed bag of results in their recent outings. In their last game against the Vegas Golden Knights, they suffered a heavy defeat with only one goal scored compared to seven by the Knights. This was despite putting up 26 shots and winning 32 percent of faceoffs. Their powerplay opportunities did not translate into goals, highlighting an area that needs improvement.

However, looking back at their previous home game against Minnesota Wild, there were positive signs despite another loss. The Avalanche managed two goals from an impressive 41 shots and won nearly 60 percent of faceoffs. Yet, it was not enough as they conceded five goals on just 26 shots against them.

In contrast, when facing off with Vegas Golden Knights earlier in Denver, Colorado showed resilience and offensive prowess by scoring three third-period goals leading to a victory. They capitalized on powerplay opportunities with two goals out of nine chances and had an overall shooting percentage of ten percent.

The venue for this matchup could play a significant role in determining its outcome. Playing away from home at the American Airlines Center may present additional challenges for Colorado; however, it also offers them an opportunity to prove their mettle on unfamiliar ice.

Fans can catch all the action live as Colorado looks to turn around its fortunes and climb back up in standings – will they be able to harness their evident potential? Find out when they take on Dallas Stars on October 4th at American Airlines Center in Dallas; puck drop is scheduled for local time.
