Kraken Conquer Avalanche at Ball Arena in Goal-Heavy Showdown

However, as the second period unfolded, the Avalanche came back strong with two goals to even out the playing field. The Kraken responded fiercely by netting two additional goals themselves.

The Colorado Avalanche fired off a total of 26 shots on goal but managed to convert only three into scores for a shooting percentage of approximately twelve percent. Their faceoff win percentage was impressive at fifty-six percent as they won thirty-one out of fifty-five faceoffs.

On defense and special teams play, the Avalanche blocked thirteen shots and spent ten minutes in penalties across five infractions but successfully killed all four powerplays they faced without conceding any goals during these disadvantages.


The Seattle Kraken's offense was slightly more efficient than their counterparts', scoring four times from twenty-two shots which translated into an eighteen percent shooting success rate. They also capitalized on one out of their four powerplay opportunities.

In terms of goaltending performances for both sides: while Seattle's goalie saved twenty-three out of twenty-six shots for an eighty-nine percent save rate; Colorado's netminder stopped eighteen out of twenty-two attempts resulting in an eighty-two percent save rate.
