First Period


The opening period saw the Dallas Stars take an early lead with one goal. Despite their efforts, the Avalanche couldn't find the back of the net during this period. The Avs' defense was tested as they faced 22 shots from their opponents throughout the game.


Second Period


Colorado came alive in the second period, scoring twice to level up with Dallas. Nathan MacKinnon and Martin Necas were instrumental for Colorado during this phase, each contributing significantly to keep their team competitive.

Third Period


In an intense third period, both teams added two goals each to their tally. Artturi Lehkonen made his mark by scoring one of these crucial goals for Colorado. However, despite matching Dallas goal-for-goal in regulation time and overtime combined (4 goals each), it wasn't enough to secure a win before heading into extra time.
