First Period

The opening period saw both teams testing each other's defenses with aggressive plays. The Avs managed to get on the scoreboard first with Artturi Lehkonen finding the back of the net, assisted by Brock Nelson and Josh Manson. This early goal gave Colorado an initial edge, but it was quickly countered by Sam Bennett of the Cats who leveled the score.

Second Period

In this period, both teams struggled to break through each other's defensive lines. The Avs had several opportunities during powerplays but failed to capitalize on them despite taking five shots on goal during these advantages. Meanwhile, Florida's Aaron Ekblad scored what would become the game-winning goal for his team.

Third Period

The final period was marked by intense efforts from both sides as they sought to change their fortunes. However, neither team managed to alter their scoring tally further due largely in part due to outstanding goaltending performances; Scott Wedgewood made 23 saves for Colorado while Daniil Tarasov stopped 27 shots for Florida.

Despite outshooting their opponents with a total of 28 attempts compared against Panther’s 25 shots throughout all periods combined - including significant contributions from players like Nathan MacKinnon who took five shots himself - ultimately fell short when facing such formidable opposition between pipes today which resulted into another loss added onto current season stats sheet under 'L'.
