Can the Blue Jackets Sustain Momentum at Canadian Tire Centre?

As the Columbus Blue Jackets prepare to face off against the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre on February 14, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent performance trend. In their most recent game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, despite a valiant effort and maintaining even strength throughout most of the game, Columbus fell short with a final score of 1-4. The statistics revealed a struggle in converting shots into goals with a shooting percentage of only four percent and losing out on faceoffs with a win percentage of forty-five percent.

However, looking back at another recent game against the Washington Capitals shows that Columbus has resilience. They managed to push through to overtime but ultimately conceded with an overtime loss. Their goaltending was solid with thirty-four saves and they had an improved shooting percentage at six percent.

The highlight for Columbus came in an away game against Buffalo Sabres where they dominated by scoring nine points and boasting an impressive twenty-six percent shooting accuracy. This victory showcased what the team is capable of when they find their rhythm.

As we approach this next challenge, it's clear that consistency is key for Columbus. Their ability to convert on powerplays could be crucial as well as maintaining strong goaltending which has been one of their more consistent features.
