Analyzing past performances, it's clear that consistency has been an issue for Columbus. In their recent match on February 24th against Buffalo Sabres at Nationwide Arena, they suffered a narrow defeat with a final score of 2-1 despite outshooting their opponents. Their powerplay conversion rate was impressive at 75 percent during that game; however, they failed to capitalize on even-strength opportunities.

In stark contrast stands their performance from February 22nd against Anaheim Ducks where they dominated with seven goals to four. That night saw them convert shorthanded opportunities and maintain an aggressive play style throughout all periods. It was an exceptional display of offensive prowess with a shooting percentage of 26 percent.

However, just two days prior on February 21st in Los Angeles against the Kings, CBJ struggled again in even-strength situations and lost by four goals to one. They managed only one goal from thirty-four shots – highlighting potential issues in finishing plays effectively.

The inconsistency displayed by CBJ could be detrimental when facing Pittsburgh Penguins who are known for their strong defensive play and ability to exploit weaknesses. The key battle will likely be fought in midfield where faceoff win percentages have varied significantly for Columbus – ranging from as low as forty percent up to seventy-one percent across different games.

To secure victory in Pittsburgh, CBJ must leverage their powerplay advantage while improving even-strength performance and maintaining discipline to avoid penalties which have cost them dearly in past games.

Fans should expect an intense matchup as both teams vie for dominance on ice. With strategic adjustments and focus on converting shots into goals during even-strength play, there's potential for Columbus Blue Jackets to emerge victorious – but it won't come easy against a formidable Penguins side.

The clash between these two teams is set for March 6th at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh with fans able to catch all the action live on ESPN+ via internet streaming or tune into SportsNet PT or BSOH television networks starting at midnight Eastern Time (ET).
