Can the Blue Jackets Tame the Coyotes in Upcoming Tempe Encounter?

As the Columbus Blue Jackets prepare to face off against the Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena, fans are eagerly anticipating what could be a pivotal match for both teams. The Blue Jackets have had a rollercoaster of performances recently, and this upcoming game is no exception when it comes to high stakes.

In their last encounter with the Ottawa Senators on March 14th, CBJ showcased resilience by pushing the game into a shootout after tying in regulation time. Despite ultimately falling short with a score of 2-3, there were positive takeaways from that game. The team's powerplay unit managed to net one goal out of six shots and their penalty kill was effective, not allowing any goals during shorthanded situations. Moreover, they won 60 percent of faceoffs which indicates strong puck possession capabilities – an essential factor in controlling the pace of play.

However, consistency has been an issue for CBJ as evidenced by their performance against Montreal Canadiens on March 12th where they were shut out despite firing an impressive 41 shots on goal. This lack of scoring touch was also apparent in their matchup with Nashville Predators on March 9th where they only managed one goal from 33 shots.

The key for Columbus will be converting opportunities into points and maintaining defensive solidity throughout all periods. Their goaltending has been reliable with save percentages hitting perfect marks in recent games but support from offensive lines will be crucial to secure wins.

On the other side, ARI has shown vulnerabilities that CBJ could exploit. With proper execution and sustained pressure especially during powerplays – where Columbus has shown potential – there's a good chance for them to emerge victorious.

Looking ahead at this matchup between Columbus Blue Jackets and Arizona Coyotes, it's clear that if CBJ can harness their strengths while addressing inconsistencies seen in past games, they stand a solid chance at claiming two points on foreign ice.

Fans should mark their calendars for this exciting clash scheduled on March 26th at Mullett Arena in Tempe (9:00 MST). The game will be broadcasted live across various networks including ESPN+ online as well as BSOH and SCRIPPS television channels.
