In overtime, Dallas's resilience paid off as they scored once from two shots while maintaining solid defense to prevent any response from San Jose. This decisive goal not only sealed their victory but also marked an important winning goal for them.


Dallas's goaltender had a busy night with a save percentage of 100 percent after facing 20 shots against him and allowing six goals through regular play and overtime combined. On offense, assists played a crucial role with players setting up teammates for success resulting in thirteen assists contributing to seven goals scored.

On defense, they were equally active blocking fourteen shots while also taking control at faceoffs where they won more than half at fifty-three percent efficiency rate over seventy-four faceoffs taken during this high-intensity match-up.
