Will the Dallas Stars Continue Their Offensive Onslaught Against Los Angeles Kings?

The Dallas Stars have been on a tear recently, and their upcoming game against the Los Angeles Kings promises to be another display of their offensive prowess. The Stars' recent performance at the American Airlines Center against the Winnipeg Jets on March 1st showcased their ability to dominate offensively, with a 4-1 victory that saw them outshoot the Jets by ten shots and secure an empty-net goal to seal the deal.

In that game, Dallas's shooting percentage was an impressive 11 percent, and they won nearly 60 percent of faceoffs. This level of control over puck possession is critical in hockey, as it often dictates which team will have more scoring opportunities. Moreover, their powerplay didn't convert but still managed eight shots on goal during those chances. While they'll want to improve on capitalizing when they have a man advantage, generating opportunities is half the battle.

The defensive side shouldn't be overlooked either; Dallas's goaltending was solid with a save percentage standing at 100 percent for even-strength shots against Winnipeg. This kind of backstop gives any team confidence moving forward into subsequent games.

Looking at Los Angeles Kings' last outing away from home against San Jose Sharks on March 3rd paints a contrasting picture. Despite pulling off a win in shootout after tying in regulation time with two goals each, LA had fewer hits than San Jose and lost more faceoffs than they won – only managing to win about one-third of them.

Dallas's most recent encounter with LA also ended favorably for them – although it was not without its challenges. The Stars had to fight hard throughout all periods and overtime before clinching victory in shootout rounds where both teams displayed excellent goaltending but ultimately DAL prevailed due to converting more attempts.

As we approach this clash between these two teams once again, it seems evident that if Dallas can maintain their offensive momentum while keeping up strong defense and goaltending as seen in previous games – especially considering LA’s struggles away from home – there’s every reason for fans to expect another win for DAL.

Fans are eagerly anticipating this matchup scheduled for March 17th at American Airlines Center in Dallas. With coverage available across various networks including ESPN+ online as well as BSSW and BSW on TV starting at midnight UTC (which translates into evening hours locally), supporters will be able not only witness what could potentially be another thrilling victory but also cheer on their team towards what could very well be an essential step closer towards playoff contention.
