Defensively, Dallas was disciplined and robust; they blocked fifteen shots and limited giveaways to six while taking away possession from Vegas nine times. Despite being shorthanded three times due to penalties totaling six minutes, they managed not only to fend off all powerplay attempts by Vegas but also kept them scoreless during these phases.


The Golden Knights put up a valiant effort despite falling short.
