The game started with both teams scoring one goal each in the first period. For Dallas, Mason Marchment found the back of the net, setting an early tone for his team. Edmonton responded quickly with a goal from their side, keeping things level as they headed into intermission.

In the third period, Dallas took control. They scored two goals to secure their victory over Edmonton. The pivotal moment came when they capitalized on an empty-net opportunity late in the game to seal their win. This final push showcased their resilience and ability to perform under pressure.


Edmonton struggled offensively despite having more shots on goal than Dallas—29 compared to 25—but only managed one goal thanks largely due to Oettinger's stellar performance between the pipes for Dallas.

Defensively speaking, both teams were active; however it was clear that Dallas had an edge with higher hits (31) compared against Edmonton's (20). Additionally blocking shots played significant role where again stars led by blocking total number twenty-two attempts versus nine blocked shots done by oilers which helped them maintain lead till end whistle blew off signaling match closure time exactly around midnight local central timezone here within city limits itself!
