Dallas managed to find some offensive rhythm late in the third period when Mikko Rantanen scored their lone goal of the night. His effort was supported by assists from Wyatt Johnston and Lian Bichsel. However, it wasn't enough as St. Louis sealed their victory with an additional goal before time expired.
