First Period

The opening period saw both teams finding the back of the net once. The Stars managed to break through with an early goal, setting the tone for what would be a competitive matchup. However, the Predators quickly responded with a goal of their own, keeping things level as they headed into intermission.

Second Period

In the second period, Nashville took advantage by scoring twice while Dallas added one more to their tally. The Preds' powerplay unit was effective during this stretch, converting one out of four opportunities and putting pressure on Dallas's defense. Despite being outscored in this period, Dallas remained within striking distance thanks to solid defensive plays and crucial saves by goaltender Jake Oettinger.

Wyatt Johnston played a pivotal role in this comeback effort with his dynamic playmaking abilities that led him to be named first star of the game. Mavrik Bourque also contributed significantly with both a goal and an assist during this decisive stretch.

Nashville managed one more goal but could not overcome Dallas's offensive surge late in the game. The Green and Gold's ability to dominate faceoffs proved vital as they won 46 percent overall despite trailing slightly behind Nashville’s 54 percent win rate.
