First Period

The opening period saw both teams testing each other's defenses. The Stars managed to break through first, thanks to Wyatt Johnston's sharp play that put them on the scoreboard. Despite being outshot by the Kings, Dallas held firm defensively, with Jake Oettinger making crucial saves to keep Los Angeles at bay.

Second Period

The second period was marked by strong defensive efforts from both sides. Neither team managed to find the back of the net as they battled for control in a tightly contested middle frame. The Green and Gold's defense was particularly effective in neutralizing L.A.'s offensive attempts, maintaining their slim lead heading into the final period.

Third Period

In an action-packed third period, Dallas extended their lead with goals from Jason Robertson and Matt Duchene. Robertson's goal showcased his precision shooting skills while Duchene capitalized on an empty-net opportunity late in the game. Meanwhile, Oettinger continued his stellar performance between the pipes for Dallas by stopping all but one of L.A.'s shots throughout this decisive segment.

Despite a late powerplay goal from Corey Perry for Los Angeles, it wasn't enough to overcome what went wrong for Dallas Stars earlier dominance and defensive prowess displayed throughout most of this matchup.
