The home team displayed resilience throughout the game. Despite not scoring in the first period, they managed to net one goal in the second and ramped up their efforts with three goals in third. Their powerplay unit was particularly effective, converting three out of six opportunities into goals and demonstrating a shooting accuracy of 15 percent overall.

The Red Wings' goaltender made an impressive total of 33 saves but ultimately conceded five goals against 38 shots by the Kraken. On even strength, he maintained a save percentage of approximately 91 percent but faced challenges during shorthanded situations where two out of five shots slipped past him.

The Seattle Kraken capitalized on their chances as well with two powerplay goals from five opportunities and an additional overtime goal that sealed their win. Their shooting percentage was slightly lower than that of Detroit at around 13 percent but proved sufficient for victory.

As for physical play, both teams were engaged heavily; however, it was Detroit who led with more hits totaling twenty compared to sixteen by Seattle. In terms of discipline on ice though both teams saw equal penalty minutes; twelve for Detroit and fourteen for Seattle which reflects how tightly contested this matchup was.
