The Rangers' winning goal proved pivotal and showcased their ten percent shooting accuracy as they scored four times from thirty-eight shots on target. Their powerplay unit capitalized on one out of three chances while also maintaining solid defense during shorthanded situations.


Despite being outscored, Detroit demonstrated strong playmaking abilities with six assists contributing to their nine points earned during gameplay. They also edged out New York with takeaways at nine compared to four and delivered more hits than their opponents with twenty-three impactful plays.
