On defense and goaltending fronts, Cam Talbot made 17 saves but allowed two goals before empty-netters widened the gap in scoreline during final moments. Simon Edvinsson led defensive efforts with significant ice time and physical play including two hits.


Canadiens' Counterattack


The Montreal Canadiens demonstrated resilience after falling behind early by leveling up in second period followed by securing victory through three additional goals in third period. Their goaltender Sam Montembeault emerged as one of stars of night making impressive saves totaling thirty-five stops which played crucial role in limiting Red Wings to just one goal despite numerous attempts.

Josh Anderson and Cole Caufield were instrumental upfront for Canadiens contributing directly towards team’s success; Anderson scored while Caufield assisted further cementing their positions as key players this season.
