First Period

The Red Wings set the pace early in the first period with two goals. Michael Brandsegg-Nygård opened up scoring for Detroit, showcasing his offensive prowess and giving his team an early lead. J.T. Compher followed up with another goal shortly after, capitalizing on a defensive lapse by Chicago.

Second Period

In the second period, Detroit continued to dominate as they added another goal to their tally. Dylan Larkin assisted on this crucial play that further extended their lead over the Hawks. Despite several attempts by Chicago to close the gap through powerplay opportunities—six in total—their efforts were thwarted by solid goaltending from Cameron Talbot who made key saves throughout.

Third Period

Chicago finally found some momentum during the third period when Colton Dach managed to score for them; however it proved too little too late as they couldn't overcome Detroit's strong defense led by William Lagesson and Justin Holl who effectively neutralized any further threats from opponents' forwards like Connor Bedard or Alex DeBrincat.

Overall performance analysis reveals that while both teams had equal faceoff wins (28 each), it was ultimately Red Wing’s efficient shooting percentage of 16 percent which secured victory along with stellar performances from players such as Elmer Soderblom contributing one assist alongside Andrew Copp’s defensive efforts ensuring minimal giveaways compared against opponent stats showing higher turnovers (10).

As fans look forward eagerly towards next match-up scheduled October 2nd at Scotiabank Arena where they'll face Toronto Maple Leafs broadcast live via NHL Network starting time set around approximately evening hours local timezone Eastern Daylight Time zone marking exciting continuation season journey ahead!
