First Period


The opening period saw both teams locked in a defensive battle, with neither side managing to find the back of the net. The Red Wings displayed solid defensive play, highlighted by their ability to block shots and maintain pressure on Buffalo's forwards. Despite this effort, they couldn't capitalize on their offensive opportunities.


Second Period


As play resumed in the second period, Detroit found some rhythm offensively. J.T. Compher managed to break through Buffalo's defense and scored for the Winged Wheel with an impressive shot that showcased his precision and timing. However, this was quickly countered by two goals from Buffalo's Jack Quinn and Tyson Kozak that shifted momentum towards the Blue and Gold.

Third Period


In what proved to be a decisive third period for both teams, Emmitt Finnie added another goal for Detroit but it wasn't enough as Colten Ellis stood tall between the pipes for Buffalo making crucial saves throughout this segment of play which ultimately secured victory for his team.
