Third Period


In the final period, Detroit maintained their momentum by adding another three goals to secure their victory. Jonatan Berggren also made notable contributions with his performance on both ends of the ice, further solidifying his role as a key player for Detroit.


On special teams play, both sides had opportunities but it was Detroit's powerplay unit that managed to convert once out of three chances while effectively neutralizing St. Louis' powerplay efforts which resulted in two goals from four opportunities.

For goaltending duties, John Gibson stood tall between the pipes for Detroit making crucial saves especially during penalty kills where he faced seven shots shorthanded and stopped five successfully.
