First Period


The game commenced with an early lead for Anaheim as they netted two goals in quick succession. The Red Wings managed to respond with a powerplay goal from Alex DeBrincat, who capitalized on one of their seven powerplay opportunities. Despite this effort, Detroit trailed by one goal at the end of the first period.


Second Period

Third Period


The third period saw Anaheim solidify their dominance with two additional goals while keeping Detroit scoreless. The Ducks' Troy Terry was instrumental throughout the match and emerged as a standout player alongside Leo Carlsson and Jacob Trouba.


Despite outshooting Anaheim 30 to 32 and winning faceoffs at an impressive rate of 64 percent, Detroit struggled defensively against Anaheim's aggressive offense which resulted in five goals against John Gibson's goaltending efforts.
