First Period


The opening period saw both teams locked in a defensive battle, with neither side managing to find the back of the net. The Red Wings and Sharks each recorded several shots on goal but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Second Period

Third Period


San Jose came out strong in the third period, scoring twice to take a temporary lead over Detroit. However, Lucas Raymond responded for Detroit with an equalizer that brought new life into his team. Both sides continued to battle fiercely until regulation time ended without further goals.


Overtime and Shootout


Overtime failed to produce any decisive moments as both goaltenders stood firm under pressure. In the ensuing shootout, it was Dylan Larkin who stepped up for Detroit and secured victory by converting his attempt while Cam Talbot made crucial saves against all four of San Jose’s shooters.
