The game at Honda Center was marked by the Oilers' relentless offense and solid defense. The team's shooting percentage was an outstanding 18 percent as they managed to net seven goals from just 39 shots. Their performance on the ice was further bolstered by winning more than half of their faceoffs, achieving a faceoff win percentage of 54 percent. The powerplay opportunities did not translate into goals this time around; however, they maintained pressure with four shots during these chances.

Defensively, the Oilers were equally impressive. They blocked ten shots and recorded fourteen hits throughout the game. Goaltending played a crucial role in securing this win for Edmonton as well; their goalie saved all but two of the thirty shots faced, maintaining a perfect save percentage during both powerplays and shorthanded situations.

On the other side of the rink, despite being outplayed overall, Anaheim Ducks put up resistance where they could. They managed to score two even-strength goals from their total thirty shots on goal but struggled in converting powerplay opportunities into points on board.

The highlight for many fans would undoubtedly be Edmonton's winning goal which cemented their lead and ultimately secured them victory in this matchup against Anaheim Ducks.

Looking ahead for Edmonton Oilers fans eager to follow their team's progress: The next game is scheduled against Philadelphia Flyers at Rogers Place in Edmonton on January 3rd at 7:00 PM local time (9:00 PM EST). This upcoming match will be available for viewing nationally via ESPN+ online platform or regionally through NBCS-PH television network broadcasts.
