Will the Edmonton Oilers Glide Past the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena?

As the Edmonton Oilers prepare to face off against the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena, fans are eager to see if their team can maintain their recent momentum. The Oilers have been showcasing a blend of resilience and offensive prowess, which could be pivotal in their upcoming game scheduled for April 19th.

In their last encounter with the St. Louis Blues on April 2nd, despite a valiant effort that saw them force overtime, the Oilers fell short with a final score of 3-2. They managed to land an impressive 38 shots on goal and demonstrated tenacity with 20 takeaways. However, they struggled in faceoff wins with only a 44 percent success rate and failed to capitalize on two powerplay opportunities.

On March 30th against the Anaheim Ducks, however, it was a different story as Edmonton dominated with a commanding 6-1 victory. Their shooting percentage was an outstanding 16 percent as they netted six goals from just 37 shots. Faceoffs were also in their favor this time around, winning an impressive 64 percent of them.

The game prior to that saw another strong performance by the Oilers when they took down the Los Angeles Kings on March 29th with four goals scored from only twenty shots – translating into an efficient shooting percentage of twenty percent.

Looking ahead at their next challenge against Colorado Avalanche presents both opportunity and threat. The Avalanche are known for their speed and skillful playmaking abilities but have shown vulnerabilities that can be exploited by teams like Edmonton who possess depth in scoring talent.

The key for EDM will be maintaining pressure while improving upon areas where they've previously faltered – particularly special teams play and faceoff win percentages which have fluctuated over recent games.

Defensively speaking, goaltending will need to remain solid as it has been during these past matchups; save percentages were perfect across all strengths during both victories mentioned earlier.

With these factors considered alongside what promises to be an electrifying atmosphere at Ball Arena come game night – it's reasonable for fans to hold high expectations for another stellar performance from their beloved Oilers.

Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN starting at 7:30 PM Mountain Time (9:30 PM Eastern Time) on April 19th when these two Western Conference titans clash once again in Denver's hockey battlegrounds.
