First Period


The game commenced with both teams displaying strong defensive strategies. The Oilers managed to break through first, scoring a goal and taking an early lead. However, despite their efforts and maintaining pressure on the Blues' defense with 26 shots throughout the game, they couldn't capitalize further in this period.


Second Period


As play resumed, the momentum shifted towards the home team. The Blues responded with two goals during this period, overturning their deficit into a lead. Edmonton's powerplay unit was effective as they scored one of their goals during a man advantage situation but struggled otherwise against St. Louis's penalty kill.

Third Period


Entering the final period trailing by one goal, Edmonton pushed hard for an equalizer but was unable to find success against a resilient Blue Note defense that blocked numerous attempts and limited high-quality chances for Connor McDavid and his teammates.
