First Period

The game began with both teams displaying aggressive tactics. The Oilers managed to open their account early through Jack Roslovic, who capitalized on an opportunity to put his team ahead. However, the Bruins responded swiftly with two goals in quick succession, setting the tone for their offensive prowess throughout the match.

Second Period

As play resumed, Edmonton struggled to find their rhythm against a well-organized Boston defense. Despite having five powerplay opportunities and eight shots on goal during these advantages, they failed to convert any into points. Meanwhile, Boston extended their lead by adding two more goals during this period.

Third Period

In an attempt to mount a comeback, Zach Hyman found the back of the net for Edmonton in this final segment. Yet again, it was not enough as Boston's relentless attack saw them score twice more before time ran out. The standout performances from Jeremy Swayman and David Pastrnak were crucial for Boston's success; Swayman made 34 saves while Pastrnak contributed significantly on offense.

Despite outshooting their opponents with 36 attempts compared to Boston's 29 and maintaining a slight edge in faceoffs won (31), Edmonton could not overcome defensive lapses that led them astray throughout key moments of play.
