The game at TD Garden saw the Florida Panthers take an early lead in the first period, scoring two goals that set a promising tone. The team's offensive efforts were reflected in their total of 37 shots throughout the game. Their defense was also on display as they blocked 19 shots from reaching their goaltender and delivered 21 hits to keep the Bruins at bay. Despite these efforts, they could not maintain their lead.

The Panthers' goaltender faced 26 shots and made 23 saves during the game but allowed three goals to slip by. On special teams, while having three powerplay opportunities where they took an impressive number of twelve shots, they were unable to convert any into goals. The faceoff circle was another area where the Panthers showed strength; winning more than half of their faceoffs with a success rate of approximately 56 percent.

On the other side of the ice, despite being outshot by eleven attempts, Boston capitalized on its chances with an effective shooting percentage double that of Florida's. The Bruins' resilience was evident as they overcame their initial deficit by securing one goal in both second and third periods before triumphing in overtime.

Boston's goaltender had an outstanding performance stopping all but two out of thirty-seven shots for a save percentage near ninety-five percent which contributed significantly to their victory. Additionally, even though they faced more penalties than Florida including one match penalty which is indicative of severe infractions - Boston managed to prevent any powerplay goals against them.

As fans look ahead after this hard-fought contest between these Eastern Conference rivals it is important for them not only reflect on what has transpired but also prepare for future matchups that await them on ice rinks across North America.
