The match at Nationwide Arena saw the Panthers take an early lead in the first period with two goals, setting a strong pace for the game. Despite not adding to their score in the second period, they came back fiercely in the third period by netting three additional goals. The team's shooting accuracy was notable as they converted 14 percent of their shots into goals.

Florida's goaltender played a crucial role in securing this win by saving 17 out of 19 shots on goal, reflecting an admirable save percentage of nearly 90 percent. This defensive effort was complemented by an aggressive offense that took a total of 36 shots on goal throughout the game.

The Panthers' powerplay unit capitalized on one out of two opportunities and demonstrated efficiency during faceoffs within powerplays winning approximately 67 percent of them. Their special teams were effective overall as they also managed to keep Columbus from scoring during powerplays despite two chances for the home team.

On defense, Florida blocked an impressive number of attempts – totaling at 15 blocked shots – and kept giveaways to just one throughout all three periods which contributed significantly to maintaining their lead.

Columbus Blue Jackets put up resistance but couldn't match Florida’s intensity or shot-making ability. They managed only two goals from their total shot count and won slightly more than half of all faceoffs taken during even strength play but fell short where it mattered most – on scoring plays.

The upcoming schedule has Florida Panthers heading to Climate Pledge Arena where they will meet Seattle Kraken for another exciting matchup. Fans can catch this encounter live on December 12th at 10 PM Eastern Time broadcasted through BSFL channel number 654 or ROOT Sports NW channel number 687; additionally, streaming will be available via ESPN+ for national viewers eager to follow every moment as it unfolds.
