Clash on the Ice: Anaheim Ducks Visit Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena

As the Florida Panthers prepare to host the Anaheim Ducks at Amerant Bank Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying game. The Panthers, coming off a decisive victory against the Vegas Golden Knights on December 23rd, where they scored 4 goals and dominated with a shooting percentage of nearly 10 percent, are looking to continue their winning ways.

The previous encounter saw the Panthers outplay their opponents in almost every aspect of the game. With a higher number of hits and takeaways than the Golden Knights, as well as a power play success rate that was significantly better than their penalty kill performance, it's clear that special teams could play a crucial role in their upcoming match against the Ducks.

One area where FLA particularly excelled was in faceoff win percentage during power plays. Winning 70 percent of those faceoffs is an indicator of how well they can control possession and create scoring opportunities when they have a man advantage. This could be pivotal against ANA if they manage to draw penalties and capitalize on them.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for FLA; despite winning their last game at home, just one day prior on December 22nd against St. Louis Blues, they suffered a loss where they only managed one goal from an overwhelming 38 shots – translating into a meager shooting percentage of about 3 percent. This inconsistency in converting shots into goals might be concerning when facing ANA's defense.

The Ducks will not make it easy for them either. They're not just going to let FLA walk away with another win without putting up a fight. It’s essential for FLA to maintain discipline and avoid unnecessary penalties that could shift momentum in favor of ANA.

Looking ahead to January 15th's matchup between these two teams at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida Panthers fans should feel cautiously optimistic about their team's chances based on recent performances but also aware that hockey can be unpredictable.

For those who want to catch this exciting NHL action live or through broadcasts – you have options! The game is scheduled for January 15th at noon Eastern Time and will be available nationally via ESPN+ online streaming service or locally on BSFL TV channel 654 for home viewers or BSSC/BSSD channels (693/694) for away supporters.
