The Panthers' performance was nothing short of dominant as they took control in the second period by netting four goals. This offensive surge was critical to their victory over the Penguins at PPG Paints Arena. The team's shooting accuracy was remarkable, with a shooting percentage of 22 percent from their total shots on goal. The Panthers' powerplay unit capitalized on one out of two opportunities, contributing to their substantial lead.

Defensively, the Panthers were just as impressive. They blocked a total of 15 shots and limited giveaways to just one throughout the game. Their goaltender played an integral role in securing this win by saving all but two shots out of 27 faced, which is reflected in his perfect save percentage during shorthanded situations where he saved all six shots he encountered.

The third period saw the Panthers add another goal to their tally while maintaining solid defensive play. Despite being outnumbered in faceoffs won by the Penguins who had secured 27 compared to Florida's 25 wins at faceoff dots, it did not deter them from executing their game plan effectively.

On the other side, despite playing on home ice and winning more faceoffs overall (52 percent), Pittsburgh struggled offensively with only two goals scored and missed opportunities during powerplays where they failed to convert any out of four chances given.

As for individual performances that stood out for Florida: one player's contribution was pivotal as he scored what would be recognized as the winning goal amidst his team’s five-goal haul.

Looking ahead for fans eager to follow their team's progress: The Florida Panthers will next take on Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center on February 16th. This upcoming match can be watched live nationally via ESPN+ or through local broadcasts; MSG-B channel number 635-1 for home viewers or BSFL channel number 654 for those supporting away from home.
