The Amerant Bank Arena was buzzing with anticipation as fans witnessed an intense battle on ice where both teams displayed remarkable resilience. The Panthers' performance was particularly noteworthy during power plays, converting one out of five opportunities into a goal. Their special teams also shone defensively; they successfully killed four out of four penalties and even scored a shorthanded goal.

The home team's goaltender had an impressive night between the pipes, saving 28 shots and contributing significantly to their victory. On offense, the Panthers fired off 35 shots at the opposing netminder who managed to save 32 but ultimately fell short in the shootout where Florida capitalized twice on three attempts.

Montreal's effort was commendable as well; they matched Florida's energy throughout regular play and overtime. Their power play unit managed to find the back of the net once from their four chances while their penalty kill unit held strong against five Panther power plays.

Despite being outshot by Florida with only 31 attempts on goal compared to Florida's 35, Montreal’s goalie showcased his skill by making crucial saves throughout regulation time and overtime before conceding two goals in the shootout.

As for faceoffs, it was an area where The Panthers demonstrated dominance by winning more than half of all draws taken which helped them maintain control over puck possession during critical moments of play. This edge in faceoff percentage played no small part in securing this hard-fought win for The Panthers.

Looking ahead for The Florida Panthers fans who are eager to follow their team's progress will have another opportunity when they take on Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena. Scheduled for March 2nd at 8:00 PM Eastern Time Zone, supporters can catch live action broadcasted on ABC or stream it via ESPN+.
